    • Alex M. and Hank W. 6th grade.

What do you think of the content?
I think the information is very informative. Each step is easy to follow and not hard to understand. When they explain the formula for the area of a circle they described each part of the equation.

    Did it grab your attention?
it seemed easy to understand, so if I would ever wish to learn the area of the circle I would definitely refer to this PowerPoint.

    What suggestions do you have?
More practice problems and step by step instructions.

    What about the rubric?
Sort of. They were missing some information. Ex: References that would be helpful
    • I think they did the best explaining on what the area of a circle was.
    • Instructions and other step by step instructions.

What grade would you give you site?
B- It was very good, but missing some rubric requirements.

Good quality math but it was sometimes hard to understand what they were trying to show or teach. The graphics were good they made me want to do the math, but with some of the colors you couldn’t read the information very well. I think it was a good power point over all I would do is put more pictures in it there were no pictures and that would have made the power point better. The best thing about the power point was the information and tests. Yes they mostly followed the rubric.

The quality of the math was easy to understand. Their order and content of the PowerPoint presentation was very clear and organized!

I think these students needed just a little more graphics and color to really make their project POP!

What I would also suggest is to not put “The End” at the end of their slides because it seems a little babyish.

I, personally, would give CL & EG an “A”!!!

The quality of the math was good and it was also easy to understand most of the time, I think they should have put smaller paragraphs so it would be less boring and so it would be easier to understand. I think there needed to be more color and or pictures. I didn’t really want to learn the math. I would tell them that they need more pictures and colors. I would also tell them that they had a lot of good information and they made it pretty easy to understand. Yes they did follow the rubric they had every thing included. I would give this group a medium “A” because they had all the requirements they just didn’t grab the reader’s attention because there was not enough pictures or colors.

    I.M. and C.R. 8th grade
They did a good job showing what to do for the math, it was easy for me to understand. Yes it grabbed my attention but and I wanted to do the math and learn how to do it. I think the best part of the power point was the way they showed you how to solve the problems using the pictures. The thing that they should do better on would be to add more information on some slides. Yes they followed the rubric from what I could see. I would give them an “A” because they had all the things the needed and had good pictures and colors. I think it was a good power point.

    A.C. 8th grade honors
They should how to solve the math pretty well, it was also pretty easy to understand. It grabbed my attention a little bit but not a whole lot because there were not very many pictures and it looked a little boring. I still kind of wanted to do the math tough. My suggestions would be to put in more pictures so people are more likely to want to learn if it doesn’t look fun they might not want to learn it. I think he did a good job with the information though it was very detailed. Yes he followed the rubric. I would give the power point an “A” because it had all the information it just needed more color and pictures.

The document was easy to understand and the math was good.
The graphics were neat and the website was organized.
The website made me want to try it because it was clean and nice and made sense.
To the authors, the site might need more writing.
The best part was the interactive problems.
The vocab and what is parts needed more writing.
I would give it a B because it was good and fun, but needed more writing.

The best part of the site was how they worded it because they did a very good job.
What needed improvement was the test and problems because they were not on the page.
They followed the rubric, and did very well with writing.

The graphics weren’t very good and the quality did not make me want to do math.
Some suggestion I have would be to make the wording better, and have more graphics. The vocab was good, but almost everywhere could have used improvement.
They mostly followed the rubric, but some parts were missing. They did best on the vocab, but needed standards and there were spelling errors.
I would give it a c because the quality was good, but the power point was nothing special.

    A.C 8th grade honors
The quality was good because it stayed on topic, but it was not very easy to understand because it was very complicated for a beginner.
There were no graphics on the page, and it was not very fun so I did not want to try it out.
A suggestion was to have graphics and make it more colorful and fun so the reader wants to try it out. The best part was it was highly detailed, but it needed to be more fun and interesting.
They followed the rubric, but needed graphics and to be more compelling. He did a good job with wording it out.
I would give him a C because he only did a good job explaining, but it was not fun and was very hard to follow.

I thought it was a pretty good power point. They explained their topic well, and made it easy and not boring by separating steps. The only things I would change would be the designs of the slides, they could be more creative. I think it followed requirements pretty well so it should probably get an A.

It was a pretty good website. I thought that it was designed well, and the explanations for what they were teaching were really good and easy to follow, but I think that it needed some more complex questions so that people learning could understand more than just that one concept. Over all, following the rubric I would give it an A.

    Who are you talking about?
    • NH and PM- 7th grade

What do you think of the content?
    • The quality of the math, I would say, is okay but it definitely could’ve been better. As soon as the PowerPoint started, it immediately went to how exponential equations work and didn’t even explain the topic you were talking about or the process to solve them. Next time, I would explain what you are talking about first and work them through the process before trying to do an example.
    • To be honest, this PowerPoint was not that easy to understand. The slides were out of order and for the vocabulary the answers weren’t even listed until 5 slides after the words were listed. Also, there were practice problems on the second slide when the topic wasn’t even explained clearly yet. In the future, I would follow the rubric more and thoroughly explain what you are trying to teach.

    Did it grab your attention?
    • I thought the graphics were alright, even though there weren’t that many. Next time, add more color and fun to your PowerPoint to make it stand out more and make it more appealing.
    • To be honest, I did not want to try the math from this PowerPoint. As I said before, one of the biggest issues for me was that you guys didn’t even explain the topic before putting a slide for practice problems. When I opened the PowerPoint as a reader I had no idea of what you guys were talking about. Therefore, I didn’t really want to try the math because I didn’t know how to do it or why it was important.

    What suggestions do you have?
    • To the authors, I would say that you guys did an okay job but next time make it look like you guys spent a little more time working on it. It’s confusing to read and doesn’t cover the topic enough to leave the reader feeling like they learned something.
    • The best part of this site was that you guys listed a lot of vocabulary words. I liked that because it made sure the reader could fully understand what would be talked about in your PowerPoint.
    • What needed improvement was the explanation of the topic in general. Next time, fully teach the topic before putting practice problems and an assessment and make it a bit more organized.

    What about the rubric?
    • They did a little, but they didn’t cover each topic the rubric asked and it was definitely unorganized.
    • They did the best on vocab because there were numerous words listed but next time put the answers to the vocab on the same slide.
    • They definitely (as I have said a million times) need to improve on organizational skills and fully explaining the topic! Make sure you guys know what you are talking about before trying to teach it.

What grade would you give you site?
    • I would give this site a C because it was very unorganized and did not teach the reader very much about the topic. It was a confusing PowerPoint and hard to follow. In the end, I don’t truthfully think I learned much from your topic because of the way you explained it. Put more effort into it next time (:

    Who are you talking about?
    Alex M. and Hank W. Grade 6

What do you think of the content?
Their math content was very easy to understand. It explains the procedures step by step and very clearly so you never got lost a long the way while you learned the material. They really addressed their topic very clearly and didn’t really go off topic too often.

    Did it grab your attention?
There weren’t too many graphics through out the power point presentation so I think that if there had been more the power point would have been a lot more interesting. It did make me want to do some math and it helped me touch up on how to find the area of a circle since I hadn’t done it in a while.

    What suggestions do you have?
One suggestion I have for the authors of this power point is to add more pictures into the slide show so that the viewer doesn’t get bored while reading it. The best part of the power point was that you could clearly read all the words so they choose a very good back round and that they stayed on topic the majority of the time. The part that needed improvement was to add a little more detail in some of the parts.

    What about the rubric?
The section that I feel like they did the best on was explaining what their topic was on. The section they need to improve on it to put why you would need to use that math quality in real life because no where in the power point did it say anything about that. At times they followed the rubric perfectly but in some parts they totally left out some of the tings that needed to be on the power point.

What grade would you give you site?
I would probably give this power point a B.

What do you think of the content?
The content was very good. It was very easy to understand and it went a long step by step in order which made it really easy to understand the power point.

    Did it grab your attention?
    • There weren’t many pictures on the power point presentation besides the graphs so I don’t think that they did very good on the graphics. It was interesting enough to the point where it did want me to do the math that I had just been taught by this power point presentation.

    What suggestions do you have?
    • I liked how the authors made all of the different titles and the wording different colors so that the people reading it stay entertained. The part that I though could use improvement was that if there had been a background or more pictures it would have made the power point even better than it already was.

    What about the rubric?
This power point followed the rubric almost perfectly besides the fact that there weren’t really any pictures on there. Besides that they had everything.

    Did it grab your attention?
The different backgrounds really caught my attention and kept the power point interesting because of it. It did make me want to go back and try some of the example problems that they put on there to make sure I still knew how to do it.

    What suggestions do you have?
The best part of this power point was all the different slides. I liked that they were different and very entertaining to read. I also liked how they lightened the mood at times by saying things like were not done yet and things like that.

    What about the rubric?
They followed the rubric all the way and I don’t have anything in mind that the creators of this power point need to work on.

The quality of the math was very good and understandable. I thought they did a good job on their content and mentioned everything they need to. The slideshow didn’t have very many graphics and had the same solid background for each slide. Besides that, the math seemed easy the way they explained and made me want to try it. I would suggest a little more effort on the presentation, but otherwise it was very informative and useful. They also didn’t fully follow the rubric because they are missing a glossary for the terms they used. The part they did the best on would have to be the explanation and the weakest would be the presentation. I would give them a B+.

The quality of the math was really good, but it got really hard to understand at some parts. The graphics in the presentation made it easier to understand though and brought some color into it. The directions given did give motivation to do the math, but I didn’t because it seemed like a lot to do for one problem. I would suggest an easier explanation, but the topic of the Pythagorean Proofs I guess I would expect something a little complex. My favorite part of their slideshow would have to be the informative vocabulary that really helped me understand what they were talking about. Then the part that I thought was not as well thought out was the section about the explanation. Overall they did followed the rubric completely and deserve an A.

    A.C. and N.J.

The quality of the math was okay because they didn’t really start explaining anything the 4th and 5th slide and it was only a few sentences of explanation. It was kind of simple to understand since it was just finding the Y- intercept, but they could have added more detail and examples. Nothing was too eye-catching with this presentation except for the interesting repeated background, which made some parts hard to read. The math was very easy to try, but there were no solutions to check my answers on. I would suggest that they add some. My favorite part was the vocabulary because it was the most detailed out of the whole presentation. The part that needed more improving would have to be the explanation and the test. Since they didn’t follow the rubric completely I would have to give them a C.

    8th Grade Honors:

    A.M. and C.C.

The quality of the math was very well done and extremely easy to understand. Their website had many cool graphics and backgrounds. It was the same background on each page just about, but the way they showed it I never lost interest. The math seemed like anybody could try it. I wouldn’t really suggest anything else. My favorite part of the website was the explanations because of the detail and graphics they put on the page. A part they could improve on would have to be the missing glossary. Besides that their website was very well done and they deserve a B+.

    8th Grade

    1. Cory R. and Isaac M.

    2. The quality of the math was not very good. They didn’t really explain their topic, or give an explanation of what it was that they were talking about. Where they were explaining it, I could understand after re-reading it.

    3. It really wasn’t very attention grabbing. It was white text on the same background throughout the entire thing. There were no interesting graphics and it was just very plain. It did not make me want to try it out. I was bored and uninterested.

    4. I would tell them to make it more fun, or to add themselves to the presentation. I t was very generic and boring. The best part was the real life situation, even though it had a misspelling. I think a lot of the pages could use improvement, but the one that could use the most was the vocabulary page.

    5. They didn’t really follow the rubric. The best part was the real life situation, and the worst part was the vocabulary.

    6. I would have to give them a 71%.

    7th Grade

    1. Amaris B. and LiAnn M.

    2. The quality of the math was good. It was easy to understand, and easy to read.

    3. The graphics were good. It was easy to read, and there weren’t pictures, but there were interesting backgrounds and a tasteful color scheme. It didn’t really make me want to do math (nothing can make me want to do math), but it was easy to comprehend.

    4. I would say to go into more detail, or put the definitions with the words on a separate page… I didn’t personally want to go look for the definitions. The best part of the site was the page talking about the wheel of theodorus. The page was interesting and I paid attention to it because it was fun to read. It needed improvement on the “number types” page. There wasn’t really much explanation on any of the types. It left me guessing.

    5. They followed the rubric and their content was good. I think they did the best job on the “real life applications” section they made it easy to understand.

    6. I would give them an 84%.

    6th Grade

    1. Makena F. and Emma R.

    2. The quality of the math was good, and it was easy to understand, but there isn’t very much information. Where there is information, it is thorough and easy to understand.

    3. It did grab my attention, but it was difficult to see at some points. I liked the notebooks where you had to turn the page, and it kept me interested, but it was hard to see with the background chosen. It did make me want to try it out. They made it look easy judging by the way they explained it.

    4. My suggestions would be to use backgrounds that are easier to read on, to use larger text, and to make it easier to find the page titles. On the page that had the flowers, it was hard for me to read the page titles so I could choose a page to go to. Also, I would make SURE to spell check it… there were a few misspellings.

    5. I think they did follow the rubric, and they did a pretty thorough job. I think they did the best job on the practice section. It was a little hard to read, but the content was good. I think they needed to improve on the “what is it” section… It was kind of lacking detail.

    6. I would personally give them a high B. Something close to an 85%.
